Grief is Not a Journey You Have to Make Alone

Grief can feel like being lost at sea — the waves of sadness, regret, and confusion rising and falling without warning. Many people wonder if they’re 'doing it right' or feel pressure to ‘move on’ before they’re ready. But grief doesn’t heal with time alone. Without intentional support and compassionate care, it’s easy to become stuck in a loop of rumination, guilt, or emotional numbness.


Why Online Grief Support Works

Recent research highlights the benefits of online community-based grief support. Programmes that focus on emotional literacy, meaning-making, and shared reflection have been shown to reduce isolation, support post-traumatic growth, and increase self-compassion.

Our 6-week programme is designed to provide a steady anchor in the emotional storm.
 

Sailing Through Grief (6-Week Online Programme)

This intimate grief support group gently guides participants through a structured journey:

  • Week 1: Welcome aboard – understanding your grief landscape-

  • Week 2: Naming the Storm – emotional literacy and validation

  • Week 3: Building Your Toolkit – coping strategies and self-soothing

  • Week 4: Navigating Triggers – understanding grief surges

  • Week 5: Meaning & Memory – finding purpose and legacy

  • Week 6: Coming Ashore – integration and new beginnings

Each session includes gentle guidance, reflective prompts, peer connection, and a focus on healing through self-compassion. Groups are kept small (8–12 participants) to foster trust and transformation.

Signs You May Need Grief Support

Not taking intentional steps in your grief voyage can result in symptoms like:

  • Difficulty concentrating or making decisions

  • Avoiding reminders of your loved one

  • Social withdrawal or emotional numbness

  • Feeling 'stuck' in regret or sadness

  • Irritability, fatigue, or sleep disruption

These are natural responses, but they don’t have to be permanent. When you have the right support and community, grief becomes a space for personal growth, resilience, and meaning.
